I used 3M glue that is made specifically for car emblems. Be careful with it tho, a little bit goes a long way! i used a toothpick to apply it to the back of the emblems. I've been through car washes and used the pressure washers at self service car washes and theyve held on for 9 months and counting Pick it up anywhere, wal-mart, o'reilys, autozone, etc., its fairly cheap.

well before i took mine off i put painters tape around the border of the emblems so that way you can line them up easily when you put them back on. so now u want to put them on. get emblem or trim molding double sided stick tape from pepboys n apply small pieces to the emblems. cut the excess pieces off. peel the plastic off the tape. stick back onto the car using the tape lines u put on before u peeled them off to align the emblems properly.

3M double sided is strong as hell. I just installed my trunk lip spoiler right now. That thing is stuck on!

A little piece of 3M tape (holds up to 5lbs with the red back) will work wonders and go a long way. Post some pics of the finished product when you're done.

I think ill try the glue. I have the red 3m tape but its so hard to trim in a way that you cant see it. Or am i supposed to just put little pieces on the emblems instead of the entire back of the emblem??

Most people use 3M double side tape and it works just fine. My OEM spoiler is rock solid with double side tape. Anyhow, you can cut the tape into smaller pieces and cover a good portion of the emblem and put them on.

do NOT use the 3M glue, seriously. Many people had troubles with it eating through the paint. Supposedly it had to do with expired glue, etc, but don't risk it because if eats thru the paint you'll be one unhappy guy.

Also, before you remove the emblems, outline them with blue painters tape so you have the position of the emblems correct for re-installation.

Give it time my friend.. I used 3M double sided tape for my rear spoiler it would last like 3 or 4 months then i have to re do it..Maybe i just had a gimpy spoiler but it never stayed on no matter how much tape i used..After almost a year i just got rid of it..Best to drill the holes & bolt it..For me i didn't feel comfortable about drilling the hole for the IS OEM spoiler. So i got the F spoiler...Much easier to install & IMO better..

PS... yes i drilled & bolted this one on...

There's actually a few different grades of 3M tape. The one made for body molding works fantastic if you prep the surfaces correctly.

Smile There is a perfect solution!

If you are looking to re-adhere automotive emblems to your repaired or re-painted vehicle, you can go to www.adhesivetemplates.com where you can search for a precisely cut 3M adhesive replacement. If you donít see what you need, a custom adhesive can be created by contacting Adhesive Templates at 1-888-249-3350.
