[QUOTE=dbuch07;9001644]searched through multiple different pages found no luck. I might of missed this but oh well. I am looking at purchasing 19x8.5 wheels, what offset range should I look to stay in, typically not great with expertise on wheel fitment? Also what tire size would you recommend as I am lowered about 1.75" or so, I would not like to roll my fenders if possible at all.]

can anybody shed some light on this please for my is350 awd?

Some people have done the staggered setups on their AWD's by calculating sizes so its the same rolling diameter front and back, but in the long run, a lot of the feedback has come down to regretting doing it in the first place. It can be done, but you run the risk of putting extra/premature wear on your vehicle.
You can run an aggressive setup by all means, but just keep a square setup if possible. (e.x. 225/40/18 Front and Rear, same rims all around)
Just my $0.02
But IS's aren't a 50/50 AWD system, I'll look into that more.

If I were to run that setup would it fit without rubbing? I prefer not to roll/pull the fenders either unless I HAVE to.

It puts extra, unnecessary stress on the drive line regardless of the F/R power split. There are many threads on the forum which identify this as a problem, but there are also many that showcase staggered fitment on AWD's. You may be able to find someone with similar offsets and tire sizes on this thread to know if you'll need to roll or pull or anything at all: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...er-thread.html

Hi there fellow IS owners

I have a stock dark grey IS250 RWD with stock 17' rims. I decided to leave winter tires on those rims and get some nice other ones for summer.

At the end I decided to go with Japan Racing JR11's

The options are:

17X8,25 ET35 5X112/114,3

or

18X8,5 ET40 5X112/114
18X8,5 ET30 5X114/120

I currently have very little used good 17' summer tires (225/45), thats why Im considering that 17' option.

The question is:

should I go with 17's with ET35 (i like that deeper look), or should I go with 18' ET40 (I guess ET30 won't fit)?

Thanks for any advice!

I would go with 18s over 17s. 17s looks tiny on the 2IS. Even 18s are pretty small once you are dropped.

If I go with

18X8,5 ET40 5X112/114
18X8,5 ET30 5X114/120

Can I use ET30 for both front and rear wheels?

Hey how's it going everyone. New member but I've been reading a lot of threads.

My question is what tire size should I get? Will I rub?

1) 225/30/20
2) 235/30/20
3) 225/35/20
4) 235/35/20

I'm getting Vossen CVT wheels. 20x8.5 offset 38 all around. And I will be lowered on H&R sport springs. Thanks in advance. Pictures with this set up or similar would be nice.

Default 2006 IS350 w/ RC-F Wheels Question

Hello, I'm new to CL and I have been reading through many, many pages of the "Will those wheels fit? START HERE." sticky (I'm up to page 218). I'm looking for info on what I need to do to make the new RC-F wheels that I bought fit on my 2006 IS350.

RC-F wheels specs: 19×9.0 offset 50 & 19×10 offset 41

smokyIS350 was a big help, many thanks smoky. He suggested using 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 sized tires.

He said the rear tires/wheels will be fine with this set up, no rubbing-no mods needed.

I am still unclear on what I need to do to make the front set up work. I would rather not stretch my tires if at all possible.

Here's what I have gathered:

I need at least +38 offset, which means I will need to get 12mm spacers. ( looking at these: Ichiba V1 Wheel Spacers 12MM)

Could anyone chime in on the proper front set up that would require minimal tire stretch and proper spacer size? Thank you very much for your help.

as far as tire sizes are concerned, smokyIS350 is about right. I would even recommend going with a 245/30-19 if you really want upright sidewalls and a near-OEM rolling diameter. I wouldn't go with anything wider/taller than 275/30-19 in the rear.

in terms of wheel specs, I would not run any spacers unless you plan on getting fender work done for more clearance - especially with the suggested tire specs. the OEM RC-F wheel specs will stick out a little over 1/4" up front and almost 1 1/8" in the rear. with your proposed wheel/tire specs, the rear may need work, but IMO get the wheels and tires on the car first and then see if it's absolutely necessary.

in regards to spacers, the only reason you should ever run spacers is because you need to clear brake calipers. Should you decide to run spacers, you'll definitely need fender work.

btw, thanks for the good words, but it's nothing I take credit for.

Default 18x8 35mm (F), 18x9.5 45mm (R)

I currently got 18" staggered OEM wheels on my '06 IS350. Looking to get flushed set up. Not looking for anything poking out. I much would rather have the rear somewhat flushed. So I found a set of TSWs 18x8 35mm (F), 18x9.5 45mm (R). How will this set up be like?

fronts will sit ~3/8" farther out than stock. rear will be ~5/8" farther out than stock

Default Please help - Mountain Run / Track / Autox Wheel Setup -

Hey guys, I've been research for dayssss and I can't seem to find much on these wheels. Any help would be absolutely splendid please.

A Few things:
1. Running on Megan Coils - Tucking about 1/4 of tire all the way around (willing to compromise and increase ride height IF needed to but would like to avoid).
2. Already bought 225/40 & 255/40 tires sizes - can trade in for other tire sizes but would have to pay on top - trying to avoid
3. I would like a decently flush setup but nothing too agressive
4. I go on mountain runs A LOT, tend to do some autox, and track visits so running super stretch tires are a no-no for me. Most i will be comfortable stretching is a 255 on a 10". Would like to eventually run a 245/35 or 255/35 in the front and a 265/35 or 275/35 in the rear
5. I have already modified my fenders. Rolled flat and 2mm pull in the front (tabs not yet relocated), and Rolled flat with maybe a 1mm pull in the rear (willing to pull more if necessary).
6. Currently running on stock 18's X-package rims (F - 18x8 +20 / R - 18x9.5 +20 (both with spacers) wrapped in 225/40 and 255/40
7. I plan to get RPF1's which I have heard may have a slight problem with clearing the front caliper without a spacer.
7. These are the choices I am working with that need confirmation (Please modify if you feel that they are absolutely necessary)

Other options for wheels are as follows:
18x8.5 +30
18x9 +35
18x9.5 +38 or 45
18x10 +38

This is the setup I plan on doing:
F - 18x9 +35
R - 18x10 +38

Goals:
Run a 9 in the front because the 8.5's are convex and look like ****)
Eliminate Spacers Fully (will run if absolutely necessary) - Please tell me what size
Obtain a decently flush look without compromising ride height - I would like to stay lowered
Eliminate rubbing - i don't mind a little rubbing as i already rub a ton in the front (on fender liner)

Please help. I am willing to sacrifice whatever small thing i need to from looks so I can perform and handle better. The more input the merrier! And Thanks SO much in advance for the help.

This was my previous car btw when I was into heavy fitment (not a fool noob & I do research). Now going to performance

Some of you may say that I am wanting the best of both worlds and can't have it. Well, instead of flaming me, try and help out?
