I need someone to pitch in for me please

Work Rezax

18 x 9 +9 offset
18 x 10 +7 offset

I want to be slammed down to the fender, but will this clear the inside (struts, calipers, etc.)?

It'll clear calipers and struts but you will need a lot of fender work to make them fit especially if you wanna be slammed. We are talking about, shaving, relocating fender tabs, and a lot of fender pulling.

Thank you RVCA!

I will pass on this set then. Do you recommend in the +18 to +30 range just to be safe (no fender pulling, shaving, pulling tabs)

Hey everyone.

I currently have 16" OEM wheels on my IS250 RWD (205/55/16) and I've been thinking about getting 18x8 all around, +38 offset LFA Replica wheels. I've done some searching, but I am still unsure If I should run staggered tires even though the wheels are not staggered. I was thinking about 225/40 (f) and 255/40 (r).

I've also come across what appears to be a pretty great deal: Toyo Proxes 4 (235/40/18) for $88 a tire. Should I pull the trigger on the Toyo Proxes and run 235 all around?

Edit* I am not looking to lower my car, so if theres another optimal set-up, please share.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best,

From my experience, you have to do some work up front to fit anything remotely aggressive. The bumper tab will get in the way.

Can't really get flush without fender mods IMO. Your safe bet is probably in the 35-45+ offset range, depending on wheel width, ride height etc...

Best,
Your car is a RWD. The front and rear tire sizes can be different if you so choose. There's no significant harm in having wider rear tires, other than the fact you can't rotate your tires front to rear. Your call, I don't think either could be a bad decision. FYI, my stock 17" came in staggered tire fitment, but same wheel widths.

Thank you kumquatism.

Will 235/40 be a good fit for an 8" wide wheel?

2009 IS250 AWD
Dropped on Road Magnet springs (2" drop all around) with F-Sport shocks

Am I able to run 18x9 +35 all around with 255/35R18?

I'm on 18x8.75 +35 right now no issues but:
1. not as low as road magnet (on H&R)
2. running 225/40R18
...and with this setup front wheel looks flush with fender line so more worried about the front if I go a little lower (roughly 0.7") with fatter tires (255/35 vs 225/40)

Thanks

Dropped on coil overs. Currently at 24.5 all around. Looking for a flush look with wheels being flush with fender. What offset would I need to get this done. I measured it with a tape measure and it's 1'' front and 1.5'' out back. If I do the math front is 20mm back is 25mm so I would need 25offset front and 20 out back. Does that make sense or will it poke way to much?

Btw looking to go with either 18x8.5 or 19x8.5. No staggered fitment

255 seems a bit too meaty,

Here is my 225/30 on a 19x9 slight stretch

I have a set of 18x7.5 +35 front and 18x8 +35 rear from a genesis coupe and would like to know what tires I would need to run on is250awd. And would anyone recommend lowering springs? Thanks in advance.

A 235/40/18 would be a good tire size all around. The only springs I have ran on my is250 were eibach lowering springs which I did not see any drop in height. I ended up going with function form coilovers which is what I'm on now.

Hey CL,

Got a question about wheels. I have some aftermarket 18" wheels and was going to try and sell those wheels and swap the tires I have onto some OEM Lexus wheels. Only thing is all I can find in my current area are wheels for 2WD ISX50 and not AWD. Meaning that the wheels in the rear are 0.5" wider. Being that all my tires in all 4 corners are a 235/40/18 would it throw off or cause rear differential problems if I put on wheels that are 18x8 in the front and and 18x8.5 in the rear. (I do realize that I won't be able to rotate tires from front to rear anymore).

Thanks for the help in advance.

If you could send your helpful response as a PM that would be great. Thanks again.

yes i know, i have 225/40 on 18x8.75 right now

i am going for a better track setup so not going with the whole poke n stretch route

just worried the front may rub since my 18x8.75 +35 are flush with fender right now, so 18x9 +35 will be roughly same but with the road magnet springs i will be about 0.7" lower than right now with h&r
