don't try and run Z offsets on the IS, you'll have to do fender mods and stretch tires

That's what I meant
I'm just not sure what offsets would work best on the IS. IS350 also has much bigger brake calipers compared to 350Z....that's just make it more complicated

I don't want to spend couple thousands on a set of rims and found out that they don't fit or end up looking like something half@ss. Also, I don't really want to go for 19's....I drove some cars with 19's and the cars would feels really hash and rough.

Thanks

it will fit, get 235/40 or 35/18 all around without any problem.

Default Offset ? For wheel Gurus........

I gots a set of 20's 8.5 front and 9.5 rears +24 all around. If I change the barrells with an extra 1/2" more would that make the front a 9" wheel and the rears a 10" wheel and if so what would the offset be then? I just started calculating that for every 1/2" it's basically 12mm so I just kind of guessed that the fronts would then be +12 and the rears would a +12 also but that's not figuring in the 1/2" added onto the barrell that's just the added offset on a 8.5" and 9.5" with the added push onthe lip. Technically I'm still just figuring offset for the 8.5 & 9.5 not it being a 9 and a 10". Can anyone help out.

1/2' is 12mm but that applies to both side of the barrel, so 6mm on one side. eg. 8.5' +24 in 9.0' will be +18

+1 ^^ you would be running +18 offsets which will probably rub without MAJOR fender mods...

I'm running +20 all around right now on my 19s 8.5 and 9.5 without rubbing issues right now. I already did some fender mod like rolling

okay... so get your story straight! lol.. your first post states both front and read...

okay so just apply the +18 to your front wheel then

regarding bumping up your 18" to a 20"... just think and visualize it. pull up the tire mfr site and compare the tire sizes (because 20's are larger then 18's)

its a mm game. - use your judgment.

my IS may be a few mm's off then yours... our fender wells, our camber... there's so many factors

it seems you know what your talking about so bust out the calculator and do the math...
