Hi guys,

Im planning on purchasing the Lexani lss-5 for my IS250.

I want to go with the staggered fitment

20 x 8.5 front
20 x 10.5 rear.

now my question is what size tires do i need so it doesn't rub and what offset.

here is a picture of the rims on a G37:

the car has the factory sport suspension.

as for the offset, i wana know what i need for the wheels to look flush.

offsets and how low your dropped is everything...

that decides if you go w/ a 235/30/20 front vs. a 225/30/20 front (i.e. stretch)

but lets say you have semi aggressive offsets and a semi aggressive drop I would go 225/30/20 front & 265/30/20 rear - only Toyo T1R makes the 265/30/20 (not a popular size)

or you could run a 275/30/20 rear (more popluar) but if you do that, then i would run a 235/30/20 front.

EDIT: woops, just realized you were asking for offsets help too. as a general rule of thumb, follow Vossen Wheels offsets for the IS. They have decent offsets, but you can certainly go more aggressive with a modest stretch.

20-inch wheels without a drop is not going to look good - certainly not flush.

@Pearl250, ask around - there are plenty of guys running a flush set of 10.5" out back. For reference, my wheels are 19x9.5+35 out back with a 275/30 and I've got a little bit of room left. Could probably bump it out to +25 if I stretched a tire. Not really my style though. I can't give you exact numbers, but you'll be able to fit a 10.5 out back. Hopefully someone will chime in soon. Try searching for 10.5 to see what you come up with.

i know you can fit a 10.5 easily bro... i meant depending on his offsets and such if its droped a little and he has a 20" rim hes going to rub a tiny bit

unless he stretches which isnt my style either unless its a conservative stretch

nothing crazy like a 235 10.5

I wana know what tire sizes i should get.

i made a mistake about the wheel size:

its 20 x 8.5
20 x 10

should i go with
235/30/20
275/30/20

or

225/30/20
255/30/20

or

what i noticed some ppl are running a x/35/x on the front. why is that?


and I'm thinking about getting these ones. black lip with chrome outline.

i run 245/35 oin my 10.5 without a rub and 0 fender mods at all in the rear. im not saying im flush, but im definetly not sunken in. i could use a spacer like 5 in the rear to go flush but then i would need to shave.

im not sure of offset perfectly, i will measure it tomorrow.

btw the drop is eibach 250 springs, with gfx kit. no finger wheels gap. but feels like stock ride height under car

also, you MUST use a heat gun to mold the fender liner in the front and you will probably rub the tab that the fender and bumper are connected with, its not that hard, maybe like an hour and a half and no rub now.

Mx350 your car looks great. I have ordered my Eibach pro-kit and full GFX kit. I will be ordering the rims on monday. just trying to confirm with the users on here on the exact tire sizes cuz the wheels are coming from cali and i live in Vancouver.

and i still don't really have my answer lol. I like the fact that 275 has a more aggressive look to it. but I'm wondering if its gana give me problems.

what are you running on the front?

225/35 i got it to fit with a heat gun taken to the fender liner. probably would hvae been better with a 225/30 or 215/35
