Soooo Im going to Japan and.....
Going to Japan on April 1 (no its not an april fools joke) for 2 weeks, and i wanted to ask you guys&girls is there anything i should be looking for, in terms for our cars?
if you were going to japan what would you be looking to buy from there that you cant get here in the states? lights, toys, stickers, turbos
i got a month to make a list of things to buy that i can fit into my luggage so rims are out of the question
for those that frequent japan, help a brother out on things to do and what not to miss over there. so far i think we are hitting up the ramen museum, fish aquarium, hello kitty museum(girls request), somekind of 5-8mile trial, fish market, and some place where everyone dresses up like a anime.
places im visiting:
Kyoto
shinjuku
shibuya
osaka

I was over there for a study abroad trip in the summer of 2006 and I got to walk through the entire Toyota production line, it was a pretty awesome experience.
But you are definitely right about them dressing up....

my sister just got a job in japan (hyogo prefecture) and i plan to make a trip out there myself.
osaka is very close to Kobe, so you should probably plan a detour and get some Kobe beef!!! there's also a Japanese castle near Kobe that is very famous.
take pictures! ill be going to visit japan this summer, so I'm also interested in what goodies i can get for my car and our CL members!

How can you leave out Akihabara from your list of places to visit? Its the electronics / toy hobbies disctrict of japan. Models are much cheaper in Akihabara than in the U.S.. Car parts on the other hand are more expensive in Japan than the U.S., plus trying to find a place that sells aftermarket parts is going to be seriously tough if you only have 2 weeks and a lot of places to visit. Ive lived in Japan for 6 years, I left Japan in 2008 and sure do miss the food and the people are nice, but 95% of Japanese wont speak english so dont even try. Either learn the language or use pictures.
Look for a Super Autobacs store, lots of cool accessories for your car.
The Smart Key holder is 7600 yen, exchange rate is 89 yen to the dollar. Dont waste your time looking for a Lexus dealer to get one, since you only have 2 weeks. Trust me, 2 weeks in Japan is like trying to spend 30 minutes in Disneyland.
I pulled the Japan catalog for you just in case you want something that they dont have in the U.S.
