Thanks! I probably would go for the 5K since I want to stick with the stock fog lights because I do not want the dealership to void my warranty for changing to HID fogs by modification.

I hope you know even tho these say 6K they are 5700k output. As far as the rain goes you will see alot better than the Garax 8k. On another note dealer cant void your warranty unless they can prove it cause of the problem. Here an old video clip i day way back.

Nice video. gives me sort of an idea.

Yes, I am aware they are not true 6K. To me, the number is of an arbitrary number since kelvin X does not necessarily = X color because of how it is made and that would affect how it shows. It's more like the output and color which would matter.

Are you able to make a current clip which just the HID without the fogs shooting at down the street? Just wanted to see how wide the beam can go and how far down it lights up.

I rarely use my fog lights are normally off. Also, would would these compare against the stock light?

Thanks!

Sango the width of the light is not gonna change. To change the width of the beam your gonna have to change your lens, project and etc. What does change is the Lumen i think factory somethang like 3200LM and these are 2400LM. But i can say you'll like them. I try to make another with the fogs off.

Philips doesn't have a Ultinon 5k. Only 6k. Their 5k is called Crystalvision and they go for about $200 a pair. But, they don't come as a D4S. Only D2R & D2S. You can still make it work if you had a D2S and dremeled a notch in the base so it would fit.

5000K Ultinon does exist in Japan. See here.

JZS international should be able to ship it to you, or you can buy it from Rakuten as per this link.

Ahhh...I stand corrected. I'm so use to dealing with the German side of Philips for my Porsche and BMW....

Oh yes, I actually saw that listing before and was looking at Wattsu too. I was thinking of using their site to buy Japanese products in general.

Now that I think of it, is this really correct?

The reason I ask Philips has a 5700K aka Ultinon Flash Cool (only available for D2S). If the 6000K (Ultinon Flash White) is 5700K output, then what is the Flash Cool's output then?
