Default 235 40 18 Front Tires w/ F-Sport Springs, Will I Have Issues?

I'm in the market for new tires for the stock wheels and would like to even out the front and rear gap. Fsport spring owners know the fronts have a much larger gap up front than the rear.

I've searched and also used a tire calculator, and according to the measurement comparisons, the differences b/t the 235's and stock 225's is not much.

I just would like some real world feedback about having the 235-40-18 front tire size WITH the Fsport springs.

Anybody have this setup? If so, is rubbing an issue? Also, did it fill the gap out some to your satisfaction?

Dude your not gonna rub with f sport springs. 1" drop isnt much. the 40 might fill in the gap more, but it also might look a bit funny. ON my 19's im running 225/35 and rear 265/30/. The drop is an even 1" with ~ 1 finger gap in front and lil less in the rear

I just want to fill the front a little more and increase the contact patch with road. From what I've been reading, the wider tires help with handling.

How would it look funny? Cuz of the slightly meatier tire?

I plan on keeping this car for another year or so and do not plan to go for aftermarket wheels, but what bothers me the most is the gap difference from front to rear. When you look at the profile of the car, I notice gap more than I notice a meatier tire. Gap just stands out more. Also, the stock fronts are too low profile compared to the rear. I want to even that out too.

From what I've read through searches, several people with 235 40 18 tires with no drop have experienced rubbing. Wouldn't dropping the car 1" increase the rubbing even more?

Yeah just the meatier tire may* look out of place kinda 4x4ish, not really to sure though. IF you plan to sell the car i wouldnt go with an aftermarket wheel set like you said. You could invest in some other springs such as tien s-techs or some coils if you really want that no tire gap look. If you rub in the front, its most likely going to be the plastic linear and thats something that can easily be fixed with a heat gun. You can just push the plastic back (Evenly of course dont half *** it) and no one will ever notice. Also note the driver side is about 1/8" lower than the passenger side. Depending on what side you see the car may appear lower or higher. I actually noticed it with my eyes and when i measured it, it was exactly 1/8 " higher on the passenger side.

So you're saying you DON'T have the 235 40 18's, you have the stock 225 40 18?

You'll have no issues. I'm 19x9.5+35 up front with a 235/35/19, lowered on S-techs, and no issues. Stock wheels are set in quite a bit more, so no worries.

Thanks for the pic. You have aftermarket wheels with different offsets than the stock wheels. It may not be the same.

How are the offsets different from the stock 18's? Do you notice any rubbing at all? How do you like the look as opposed to the stock 225 40 18?

My offset is 18x8 +35mm, which sticks out 10mm than the stocks. Looks better, rubs occasionally only on full lock on inclines.

Use a heat gun to push back your plastic linear. If your rubbing on full lock, its most likely linear on the two front wheels (Closest to the seats), not the grill. Thats how i fixed mine

Its okay, the rubbing is so rare I really don't even care. Only today when I was backing out I heard repeated rubbing which was really strange lol
