Default Finally looking to go aftermarket

Hey all, I've been on the forums for a while admiring all of your IS's and coming this spring break I plan on purchasing aftermarket parts. I drive a 2008 IS 250 AWD.
I know everyone says start with a drop which I plan on doing but i have a quick question. I've seen all the different drops that each company offers and I don't plan on purchasing coilovers but when the car's dropped how is the ride stiffer?
I also want to purchase an air intake and I've seen different threads about saying go JoeZ or F Sport. Which one do you think is better? Thanks and hopefully by the Spring, I'll be to post some pictures up of my car.

I have tein s-tech springs in my car and don't really notice the ride being stiffer, but for sure when cornering and other maneuvers I feel more control and the ride is more stable. Happy modding, I must say it is very addicting =P

lowering springs usually advertise to be 20 to 30% stiffer than stock

All 3 are Good. Eibach / F-sport are pretty much the same thing 1" drop front / Rear. If ur car is new and u get f sport installed at dealer ~ 650 with parts installation and alignment here you get to keep your warranty. IMO Tien offers the best drop, but im not sure how the ride quality is.

I had Tein S-techs put on my Corolla 03... it dropped it down about 2+"s and the car would rub when loaded with ppl... and also the Ride is horrible.. as in you feel all the bumps... and when you hit a pothole/bump... u really feel it hard. I have stock shocks though.

NOw my question is, if went S Techs for my IS250AWD... I'm guessing I can expect to feel all bumps on the road or are the STechs for the lexus a bit more forgiving?
