Default Lowering Springs or Coilovers

Hello CL,

I'm a happy new owner of a 2007 IS350. Def the most fun I've had driving.

Now its time to start modding

I'm trying to understand the difference between Lowering Springs and Coilovers. I'm really happy with the stock shocks I have on the car, but I'm not happy with the height.

What is the benefit of getting Coilovers over Lowering Springs to lower my car? (I'm sorry, I'm new to this!)

Any help would be very useful!

Dude before you get killed saying do a search first..Do a search first..haha all this has been discussed i many different ways in the Brake/Suspension section...I you like to drive & are having fun go with coils...You have way more options as for stiffness ride height & just performance...
Also get the rear f-sway that helps a ton as well..Don't really need the front sway for the 350...

Welcome to CL! Great to see another local Toronto ISer. I'll start you off. You can find a lot of useful information within the "brake and suspension" forum.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...nd-brakes-198/

And, like everyone has already mentioned, the Search button is your friend (just like Googling within the CL community). GL with your mod and see you at TO2KX!

Welcome to CL. I have springs and must say i want to go with Coils now because of ride height and the fact that you can adjust the settings on coils.
