Current 19x10 or 20x10 tire owners *Help*
I just got off the phone with discount tire direct, the gentleman was telling me that a 20x10 (rear) won't fit our cars (based off what he was showing). I've been through all the tire threads on this forum and lots of you have 9.5, 10, and 11 rears.
Can someone explain his comments to me? Is he just following procedure from Lexus or someone else??
Was seconds away from making a purchase, now I'm second guessing the setup.
Please give me a quick answer. I drive a 07 is250

ok those guys are looking at a computer... its like a car salesman at a dealership, they dont know anything about cars they just know 'how to sell'. 20x10 WILL fit, your best bet is to ask here. Then goto somewhere that sells what you need and tell them what ppl here have said.
post up what your 'thinking' of getting.

whats your drop like? what tire sizes were you planning on running? AND if you dont have a drop yet, get it BEFORE you buy rims... drop with stocks will always look better than aftermarket rims and no drop.

Most guys here will tell you you're gonna need to stretch the rear (245/255) to make it work.

A 275 tire in the back with a +20 offset on a 10" wheel will most definitely rub. Not sure if it'll rub after you roll the fenders, but I'd bet it would. I'm not running near that aggressive of an offset, but my 19x9.5+35 with a 275 is almost perfectly flush, to give you an idea.

Im looking to get 20s on my IS and would prefer not to modify my fenders so i would get a higher offset but want to see how it would look with a 40 offset versus a 20 offset.
