razor blade, patience, goo gone, windex, wax.

i'm not 100% sure though, but that's what i did to take off a decal on the back window.

dont use a razor blade on the car body. window is ok but not car body. use goo gone or nail polish remover. be gentle on the car because paint can chip if you rub way too hard. welcome to cl

what logo ? if you are talking about the LEXUS or ISX50 logo, try a blow dryer to losen up the glue and dentist floss.

I've seen some dealers put their own badges on cars, that might be what he's talking about. It's usually "of <<INSERT TOWN>>" in the Lexus font beneath "Lexus" on the left side.

Use a hair dryer to melt the glue, then dental floss to remove the emblem, then Goo Gone to remove the excess adhesive.

People need to boycott any dealer that tries this cheesy and old-school tactic. Ad stickers are insulting and mare any car. I would never consider any dealer who does this.

^everytime i see a lexus of glendale decal, it makes me grateful that my dealership didnt put something like that on my car. i know many members (salesmen/saleswomen, executives, and technicians) at the glendale dealership, and it is top notch quality. i just dont know why they would create a decal, which most people should take off anyway after driving off the lot.

Reason they do it is simply for advertising and gaining new business. Again, it's our cars, we own them, and it isn't our job to advertise for them. Unless they want to pay us. But bottom line is it looks like a freak show. Fortunately, dealer stickers are very rare in California and much of the West. It's a very old-fashion practice and more common in regions like the Midwest where every truck comes out of the dealership with bolt-on fender flares and 7" window visors.

When buying a new car, I simply tell the salesperson that I won't take it if they put any dealer identification besides a license plate frame on it.

Thank you for the assistance. I am talking about the actual dealership's own mark on the vehicle, not the "Lexus" logo.

My dealer logo just appears to be some lettering stickers and since they are not paying me to drive the vehicle, I do not see the need to advertise for them.

I will try some goo gone to loosen up the adhesive on the lettering...

The easiest and safest way to remove just about anything. Even vinyl lettering that has been on for years. This stuff is AMAZING!

It is quite annoying personally.

I bought my G @ the Ira Lexus dealer in Mass & they put an Ira dealer emblem, and license plate covers on my car. I wasn't too happy about that. I changed the license plate cover last week, and I'm debadging that Ira logo this weekend.
