Have the same problem on the first gen version. It was failing the read at first, but after a while its completely dead. around 4 or 5 months now. I dont think it can be swapped.

Hey All - I recently purchased a gen 2 FA unit and for the most part I'm happy with the results. I was just wondering if anyone 1) had success with a relatively simple way to stream BT Audio from the unit and 2) if there was any way to get back capability of the AUX port in center console?
I've been thinking of popping the unit out to see if there's an additional port for a 2nd 30pin adapter as that would be a solution to one of my problems. Thanks!

I believe the SD card reader is still somewhat working because when I insert a SD card in it would lag for like a second or two. Not sure if I damaged it with the GPS moding in the past...Still wondering how a SD card reader that has no moving part would fail so soon.

Yea...When it first came out I was pretty excited with the new features. There was a lot more support at first with firmware and new harnesses...then I heard about it being discontinued with a newer model... Now there's absolutely no support for 1st gen. It was acceptable until the reader failed since all features still work with the exception of few bugs here and there...oh well. The backup camera still works and its the second most useful feature IMO. Would still love to try a new unit with better support tho.
