I want to get this navigation system for my car but have been told directly from flyaudio that there is an upgraded version coming out the end of july. I have searched several times and found a site http://www.**********.com.com/lexus-...stem_p607.html
This looks exactly like the flyaudio one but a heck of alot cheaper. Has anyone seen or purchased one off this site?
site is car gps navi.com

If you look at the images you can tell that the back of the second gen units are different, you can see a cooling fan on the back (it looks like a PC cooling fan)

The third picture is the OEM nav unit. You can tell because there's no disc slot below the temp buttons and the lower right "side" buttons next to the screen is the security LED, not the AV IN cover.
I have no idea why they're still using those ancient pictures...

Man, it looks like the price on these went up a couple hundred dollars, huh?
What are the benefits of buying the flyaudio as opposed to just getting a used OEM nav system off ebay for around the same price?

That second picture is the same mock up pic they've used for advertising since the beginning of time. It's a concept drawing, not the actual unit. Which is why we were surprised when people received their units and there was no clock.

You have to click on the "larger Image" button, once your on the page that has the shopping cart and the item discription. You can see that it definitely is a new navigation unit.

Yes I did that. I see the pictures. And as far as I can tell only the LAST picture (with the cooling fan) is of the new unit. I have no idea if the "2nd generation" unit will have a oem-style clock or not, but I'm saying those 2 pictures pointed out above I've seen a hundred times on the flyaudio sites / ebay / other sellers over the past couple of years, so don't go by that.

Here's an example:
All the way back in December 2009 Flyaudio was using a picture of the OEM unit (clock and all) in their advertising for their IS system. (It's probably a modified version of the same picture shown on the Carlighttrends site that's been rehashed over and over, with the flyaudio main menu photoshopped into the screen as well).

(second picture)
All I'm saying is don't go by those pics to conclude how the face of the 2nd gen system will look like.
