Post your Tinted Head light picture HERE !

i like them tinted. but i dont know if there is a rule against it here in california. people say its cheesy and maybe a half-hearted effort, but i think theres originality to it. on a side note, i would love to see all of those really bright headlights being tinted. it would reduce the overwhelming output. it seriously places a glare in everyone's eyes when they're that bright.

Fact is that applying any sort of tint to your headlight lense will cut output. I don't care what your Mark I eyeballs are telling you. I'd rather drive on the road with as little of a safety handicap as I can allow myself. You guys wanna rice the ride out and put tint over a perfectly good-working headlight, fine, have at it.
I'd rather put a little effort into making it look right and black out the HOUSING, not the lense - that way I'm not stacking the deck against myself. That's more than most here can say.

i know this thread is old but four o two might be slightly handicapped by his brain. a minor tint o a headlight will give you a slightly lower output yes but unless you are putting about 3 coats of that ****ty light tint spray they sell at pep boys on your lights your should be fine as far as other people seeing you. i did a 20% tint on my lights and put them up again my non tinted e36 5000k hids and they were so slightly dimmer that i couldn't imagine safety ever being compromised unless you are running halogens.

Oven @ 200, bake the lights for 15 minutes, then take your time prying them apart (gently!) with a flat-blade screwdriver.
When ready for reassembly, place the lense on and press together, heat the lights to make the glue malleable again, then press and set. You can add your own silicone to the "channels" on the light if you just did a terrible job digging out all the OEM glue, but it's honestly not required.
I typically expect most of the folks here to take the "easy road" and just apply tint to the outside, but again, that looks totally jank.
Sorry if you think that means I have a "brain disorder." Since I chose to retrofit my headlights with Infiniti FX-35 projectors and black out the inner chrome housing, I must be a COMPLETE idiot huh?
Who's the hater now?
