Default Help with tire pressure sensors!

Hi this is going to be my first post on CL. But i just bought a 2006 IS 350 and the guy i bought it from showed me what honstly looked like a pipe bomb and said that it was the sensors for tire pressure that could be installed in the tires. they are aftermarket 19" rims and i was wondering how i go about instaling those. it has the ML sterio if that would make a difference. thanks a bunch!!!

Hey There! Congrats on the 2IS. As far as the tire pressure sensors go, you have to see if your aftermarket rims are even compatible with them. Find out what brand they are and then either contact the aftermarket wheel company and see if they can tell you if they are compatible or not with the Lexus Tire pressure sensors. If they are, then you have to take the tires off the wheels and have the sensors reinstalled and then have the tires remounted. You might have to go to a tire shop to take care of that for you if you don't have the means to do it yourself. Unfortunately, you might have to bring the car to a Lexus or Toyota Dealership to have them reprogram with the ECU. Good Luck!
