I know that it has been discussed many times and that the ISF grill does not fit the ISx50. I've read that its because it's bigger. So, i am thinking of just buying it and trying to trim it down and modify it and get it to slot into the ISx50 grill surround.

Anyone know if it has been attempted? or any suggestions?

It would not fit into the grill surround - it would replace it.

In this case, you would be the pioneer. Post pics if you pull it off.

There's an F version grill for the 2009-2010. I think it's easier to customize that.
