+1 for 4 LED Flank ones from VLED.
I think the pictures make them look brighter than in person.
However you wont be disappointed.

Should've came this way from factory with white LED

heres the link

^ Cool, that's what I'll use for my puddle lights. Are those also good for use in the door lights (with clear lenses)? Or should I get a 5 SMT type LED?

They're good for the door lights too. 5 SMTs aren't as good because only two of the sides will probably shine towards the lens (at least, in my opinion). Namely, it's not a reflective housing, so all LEDs not pointing outwards are useless.

Would anyone consider these?

I haven't taken apart the side mirror but have been contemplating this mod for a while now. Is there a reflective housing around the bulb?

If not I'm probably just going to go with this like a lot of others in this thread haha.

Koz you said that you have to push it in all the way, but pull it out a hair, does it get loose at all as a result?

Yeah, they fit the same. I just wouldn't buy those for the parking lights because its not worth the money. To me, brightness is not a factor for the parking lights. As long as they are white and somewhat matches the low beams I am happy.

Btw, they did not match my low beams to my liking. I would say these leds were slightly blue compared to my 6k HID low beams.

It has never gotten loose for me in the parking light or the puddle light. You are only slightly pulling it out, but you should still feel that it is firm and won't go anywhere.

Those in the first link would just point straight towards the front of the housing where there is no area for the light to shine through. The clear area where the light shines through will be underneath where the lights are installed so the light can shine towards the floor.

Damn these suckers are bright! haha
Just installed it, next to my frat house at USC in an alley, looked so ghetto. People probably thought I was trying to vandalize the car. Campus Security asked me if I was, told them I was just replacing the bulbs on my car, and they went on their way.

Flank style is good because it is angled in the right orientation for the best lighting. Look it up on the web.

I just installed the V-LED 2 watt 4 flanks (in blue). These babies are BRIGHT! Several NorCal members saw it yesterday and agree. At night, the whole ground and side of the car glows blue, looks sick. As for the fading, they turn on to like half brightness almost instantly (no fading), and then fades smoothly from there to max brightness (and vice versa for when fading out).

I didn't get to see it during the night but it looked awesome when you tested it during the day.
