Default Will the IS auto lock when i walk away with the key?

Anyone knows? If it doesnt, anyway to set it to auto lock?

Sometimes might get forgetful and forget to press the button.

The engine will not turn off, but I honestly don't know how anyone could accidentally walk away from an idling car unless they were hearing impaired.

Yes, i doubt walking away while leaving the engine on will ever happen.

But if the engine is offed, some might forget to lock it/press the button.
It'll be great if it auto locks after awhile

No, and no. And I'm with Gernby--I don't get how the SmartKey makes people dumb enough to walk away from a running car. Of course, that said, when I was in high school, someone locked their keys in their car, running, and didn't realize it until we were walking by the parking lot toward the tennis courts during 4th period gym--so new technology, same old problem I guess.

the car will not auto lock if u get out of the car n do not lock the doors. i do know that if u walk up to it, it will unlock the door for u, but if u do not open the door within 30 seconds or so, it will lock it back up again.

I wish it would auto lock if it does not sense the key fob within the car when I exit out of the car.

Guys, think about this for a minute For those of us with a garage, what you are calling auto lock would be a pain in the butt You can't remember to lock the car or turn off the engine when you leave

As it is my wife's ES is set up to lock all the doors when she starts moving. When she gets home and parks in the garage, three of her doors are locked. If I need to get something out of here back seat, I need to open the driver's door, unlock all doors, then go get what's in the seat. She feels safer with it that way. I don't have my F set up like that. My doors remain unlocked unless I lock them.

+1. I would HATE that feature.

As to the ES auto locking--you can set the LPS so that the other 3 doors don't auto unock?? I have the same issue on my wife's Pilot, but not because of auto lock/unlock, but because she unlocks the car by pushing the fob one time for driver door only.

I hope it would have the passive alarm which only arms the car but not locking the door after for example 60 seconds which my previous 2 Honda had after market alarm did that
