My rearview mirror shakes like a child having a seizure every time i open the moonroof at freeway speeds. I like having it open, but it's just a headache looking in the rearview mirror for lane changes.

anyone else have this problem?

Is the music up? The only time my rearview mirror shakes is when I have my music up high. You should bring it to the dealership if its not music.

nah no music. and it only occurs when the top is open.

Dealer should be able to fix it, by no means was it designed to shake !!

I had mine replaced and the issue was not corrected....I just live with it...

mine shakes too
as the speed goes up, i can hear " ba ba ba ba" sounds.

so I dont open it in full
I only open it half way
if it covers under warrenty, i'll def fix it

I have a 2009 and I noticed the same thing the other day... at 70mph, it shakes so bad I'm scared it's going to fall off. I contacted the dealership and they said that's just the way it was b/c of the resonance and the (poor) design of the car. Now, if you can tell me what the creaking noise is in my back window area, that would be appreciated. I've already had the dealer remove the factory clips that they thought were the cause.

There is a newer fix to this. I waited to have mine fixed because I was not impressed with the previous fix. I went and had mine changed last week and they gave me the new fix which is a differently styled mirror. I took my IS on the freeway and at about 100mph there was only minor vibrating. I am very happy with the outcome as I have been in IS's with the previous fix and it wasn't worth my time. In case it matters I drive an 06 IS350.

there was a TSB for this on the older IS'...got mine done and it was free

Even with the tsb it still shakes, but its significantly less. It shortens the length of the mirror though.
