Difference Between "Pearls" & "Mica" Paints?

First, this thread is back in August, plus the bumper isn't finished. He already mentioned it needs to be wet sanded on the 1st page.. for a detailer, I expected you to read this thread in detail

To awnser the OP's question.
"Pearl" - Base coat is nonmetallic just color. Then a pearl coat (midcoat) is applied.
"Mica" - Base is metallic with pearl added to it, then the pearlcoat is added(midcoat).

then what is the differnce between "bpcs" and "gfm" thought it was just name, and where the car comes from.
