After losing one of my key fobs a few months ago I need to purchase a brand new unprogrammed key fob. I can get one for about $120 on sewell after the clublexus discount. And since this will be a backup I'm thinking of saving $54 and not getting a key for it. And with a unprogrammed fob my dealer can program it for only $25. Before I make a purchase, does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I might be able to buy one or is Sewell basically the only place?

You could check Ebay, but they would probably be used. Its worth a shot...

Can the dealer reprogram a key fob that has already been programmed?

Last month I got a used key fob on ebay and took it to the dealer. But they said it's difficult to reprogram and would require me paying for an hour plus of labor. For that price it would be cheaper just to buy a brand new key fob.
