Default What does the switch next to the traction control button do?

Yeah.. it's to the right of the trac on/off button (in an 06). Has 3 settings: prw, ect, and snow.

Shift characteristics of the transmission. Snow will start off in second gear, ect is for normal driving, power will keep the gears in a higher rpm range when shifting and will hang gears at times depending on throttle position. that's the gist of it. there's more than that to it but that's all you need to know. just leave it on ECT.

ooh. Faster shifts, better throttle response? I'm keeping this in mind next time I'm timing 0-60..

Except you'll get a better 0-60 or 1/4 mile time in normal mode

ECT will make the car more responsive in part-throttle driving conditions, it's inferior for a from-0-keep-it-floored race of any sort though.

Read the thread I linked to.
