You should have tap the power from your scuff plate light (providing you have illuminated scuff plate) for the rear so that you don't have to wire through the front door. I will be doing my installation this way so it would be easier.

But the current way of wiring allows the LEDs to turn on when you approach the car. The illuminated scuff plates are control by the interior lighting. For instance, when you turn you dome light off you also turn off the scuff plates.

yeah I'll do it for you! i don't know how much I'll charge yet but the problem is that I'm in Texas. I'll most likely be moving out to the LA area in the spring if you still what me to do it for u then. if u wanna try and do it yourself I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

nope I hardly ever go to Houston...but if you wanted to you could come up to Tyler early one Saturday and I could do it for you if you wanted me too. it's about a 2 or 2 1/2 hour drive.

You beat me to the DIY but I'll post my pix anyway on here

Door handle coming out

the door handle taken apart

I used 3mm White LEDs with a 1k 1/8 watt resistor soldered to the positive leg and heat shrinked it. I used a 7/64 drill bit and the 3mm LED fits tightly and will probably be water tight without silicone.

I tucked the wires into the circular thing that holds the magnetic inductor wires.

Reassembled Handle
