Default 100mph club

I'm not much of a speeder, but I took my car for a little weekend trip and broke the 100mph barrier in the process.

It was a nice and smooth, and I now understand how people can get caught unknowingly breaking the 100mph threshold.

I had my passenger glance over at the speedometer (which turned red), and he said "wow, it doesn't even like we are going that fast".

It was a nice compliment and I had to share. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming ;-)

In what car? Also what tires? I find my IS250 w/ the stock Bridgestones a bit skittish after 90mph. Hopefully some Nitto INVO's and a IS-F rear sway will help

Sorry guys...just boring stock IS350 here (for now), and I'm just your average driver with only minimal experience with other "comparable" cars.

Having said all that, it was a very nice pleasant experience.

Aww, you missed the magical 100 mark.

My car was stable like yours at 100 with stock tires. It was pretty good up until the limiter kicked in and there was no cross wind or cars when I did it.

150 (243Km/h) on numerous road trips... i know but 100's of miles watching nothing but uninhabited desert gets to you after a while (especially if you are familiar with the road and have a radar detector at hand)... needless to say wind-noise is high however the ride is really good, comfortable & you feel in control and capable of reacting comfortably to surprises
