Exclamation Subwoofer crackling sound need help fixing it!

Hey guys i own a CPO IS 250 AWD, and recently i noticed when the sub is cranked i hear a clinking sound, i check under the sub in the trunk and directly heard a metal clanking sound. Does anyone know if there is a DIY to safely fix it, as i love the stock sound system but cannot tolerate this clanking sound. thanks alot guys!

Do you have ML? They are known to blow out. I had mine replaced under warranty recently.

Err did you think of taking it apart and seeing if maybe something is loose? perhaps it is the subwoofer itself. I think there is DIY for replacing or taking out the subwoofer.. i saw it somewhere.

I would purchase that 3m type foam that is intended for window insulation. It can be bought at any hardware store or Wal-Mart. It comes in a roll for about $3-$4. Pull out the trunk material and insulate contact points. It may also be a loose speaker bolt (rare).

Getting to the subwoofer under the rear deck is a pain. Take it to the dealer and let them fix it. It's covered by the CPO warranty.
