When you changed out your stock seats did the air bags get affected or any light indications come on. here's my deal. I am gonna change out my beige carpet to black but I will be removing the 2 front seats and unplugging them to remove. now do I disconnect the battery when I do this and keep it diconnceted until I put the seats back in or does it matter at all. just wondering if any air bag lights will come on on the instument panel after reinstalling the seats back in the car. thanks.

disconnect the negative battery terminal, wait about 3 mins. before disconnecting the seat air bag connector.

the air bag light will not come if the battery is disconnected prior to removal of the seat.
