There's no cutoff shots there in that pic. Not to mention the camera picture quality

However, I will mention that it is likely mostly for looks. Not saying that it doesn't look great, but those fogs are still too narrow and too small to really effectively cut through adverse conditions

Not exactly, I am looking for output pictures illustrating how the light shines on the road.

Specifically Beam pattern pictures.

To my limited knowledge, fog lights aren't really supposed to follow the headlight pattern, instead they are meant to widen the range of view and focus clearly on the road directly in front.

"The fog lamps job is to show you the edges of the road, the lane markings, and the immediate foreground. When used in combination with the headlamps, good fog lamps weight the overall beam pattern towards the foreground so that even though there may be a relatively high level of upward stray light from the headlamps causing glareback from the fog or falling rain or snow, there will be more foreground light than usual without a corresponding increase in upward stray light, giving back some of the vision you lose to precipitation. They actually work fantastic for me.

The projector fogs come installed with 4300K Osram bulbs, directly from Lexus..
Perfectly matched to the 4300K Head light bulbs..

They do a great job widening the pattern of the headlights.

My cut off line falls just under the head light lines against a wall.

After I lowered my car, I raised them up a bit to better light up the road ahead.

I'm still trying to crack the code for Fog Lights ON and Head Lights OFF..

These are the only pics I have at the moment.. (Fogs ON)

Joe Z
that second picture looks great. Very minimal glare compared to regular HIDs in our fogs.

Remember to let us all know when you do find out how to keep fogs on and headlights off

Will do of course!!!

We worked on it this past Saturday with a Techstream Laptop for a while and
did not find anything when we got to the different Regional settings..

I did change easy stuff like mph to km and F to C, but couldn't find the lighting settings for those regions.
When we were done digging around, we changed all the settings back to US spec.

Joe Z,

If you get a chance could you snap a quick wall pick to show where the beam patterns match.

I'm trying to figure if the pattern will look like:
______/----/------
____/-------/------
or:
______/----/-------
______/----/-------
LOL, I know the illustration above isn't very good..

Basically, I'm trying to understand if the step's line up, or if the foglights step is futher apart.

Nice... I have to hunt down a perfectly clean white wall for this one.......

I will try my best to find level ground with a clean wall..

Many fog projectors (Hella) utilize a straight cutoff without the step or slope, since the step cutoff is not necessary at that low height. Not sure what the JDM fogs look though. Am eager to see output as well =)
