Cost for tires - 2007 IS350
New to this, so any helpful hints would be great! Have 2007 IS350, did not know when I got this that the front/back tires were different sizes! Impulse buying... love the car! but I was told I will need new tires with 6 months and what they are telling me for the prices is outrageous! All you experts out there - on average, how much for 4 tires and what is the normal wear/tear? how many years? Obviously, I just got this 2 years. Thanks for your help!

I know, I know. So far these are the best tires for the price I have found. Lots of people seem to like them, though they might not be as sticky as the stock. Check em out, Bridgestone Potenza RE760 at Tire rack. I think you could get all 4 shipped and mounted for about $800, not gonna find too many decent tires for less than that.

unless you like to drift, or drive an insane number of miles, your stock oem tires should last you much longer than 6 months. i put about 35k mi, ~1.5 years on my stock turanzas. switched to michelin pilot sport a/s, and cost for tires, mount, balance, and four wheel alignment was $1150.

My Stock potenza's lasted 22K miles, or 2 years for me. The wear rating for those tires were 220
I went with Goodyear Eagle F1 All seasons for $660 shipped +$130 for install at the local tire shop. The wear rating on these are 420. So I expect these tires to last almost twice as long.
If you are worried about Treadlife, I would go with All Seasons, they dont perform as well. But they last a lot longer and you can drive with them in light snow.

Definitely go to tirerack.com, input your car's specs, and look for the "Best Selling" to give you a few choices.

ah, if thats the case then i misread. my bad
but yes, tires for these cars are hella expensive. good tires, however, are probably the best upgrade/investment you can make on the car.

Plus I got a loaner, and they had them in stock (no one else did).
But--if I was replacing all 4 tires, I wouldn't get the OEMs again.

A good set of tires will be around $800. Summer tires should last around 25k miles and all seasons should last 35k+.
I went with Michelin A/S Plus for about $900. They should last around 45k miles.
