Default IS350 city mileage

So I just hit 5k miles recently on my 08 and do about 95% city driving and I'd only get about 15-16 mpg driving normally, and when I drive like a grandma I can still barely get 17mpg. I was just curious as to what kind of mileage you other mostly city drivers get on the 350?

thats normal. its rated at 18 but 15-16 is reasonable. i probably get the same. depends on the traffic and amount of stop and go.

20 in a mixed suburban setting with a bit of a lead foot.

But that's not a real slow city kind of driving.

hmm I guess the results are somewhat consistent. My MPG would probably be most consistent with DaSyce since he's from NY too and I've also never managed better than 17mpg. I'm kind of amazed though some of you guys can manage 19+ driving aggressively.
And damn is350drive, 13mpg? I didn't think you could get any less than 15.

i think the mpg is not accurate until the car hits 7000 miles or more...at least for my 250mt

when i first got the car-18mpg consistent with 100% hard city driving (felt bit depressed with that little engine)

the other day, with 7000 miles, i got almost 20 to the gallon
hopefully the mpg will climb up more with more engine miles

btw, the way you calculate is by dividing the miles driven by the gallons pumped...not according to the dash display

I get around 18-19mpg 100% city driving, 20-21 when driving 80% city/20% hwy.

I don't granny the car, but i don't drive it like I stole it.
