fog lights on regardless of headlights

i'm trying to figure that out too. I was thinking that it would be really useful if u could just on the fog light when it's foggy since the white low beam reduces the visibility.

The fellow members in Macau had an excellent picture last year of all their cars lined up with this hack. I loved the look of the 2gen with simply the fogs on. Nice cruising lights. Their was also this hack on the 1gen that required on wire in the fuse panel.

I have this mod done to my IS250 AWD (imported from USA). It was done somehow along with reprogramming the dash computer in order to convert miles, farenheits and galons to km's, celsius and litres, but now the bloody workshop guys don't tell me how they did it )) they mentioned something about Europe though. However 2nd gen IS which are officially sold in Russia have fog lights linked to headlights, not sure about europe. I'd recommend connecting Lexus Intelligent tester 2 and see if there's an option for fogs somewhere.

its a mobile service computer that Lexus dealers use to read errors from the car computer, configure personal settings and program a lot of other things. For example you can turn off the DRL feature with this

I had this mod done to my IS300 and would love to get something going for my IS350..
(The mod done to the IS300 can not be done on the 2IS)

I'm 99% sure that fogs linked to headlights feature is programmed somewhere in the car computer. the question is if the feature can be easily switched without messing with the whole local settings software (which was done in my case along with changing the local settings and was terribly bothersome in both time and mechanics)
unfortunately they didn't tell me details so I can't be of more help
atleast I can tell for sure that they didn't do the foglights stuff specifically

I wonder if in the Euro Spec Lexus Intelligent software gives the option for the Fog Light On/Off capabilities...
Like in the Japan Spec software, you can select the Windows to "Roll Up" as well as "Roll Down" via the remote...
But in the US we only get the roll down option.

ummm probably not. its called exactly Intelligent Tester 2. and I believe they are all the same for US/Euro/Japan versions. Atleast my USA car was programmed with the tester which is also used to program euro cars
