Default New Navi CD, Voice Recognition not working

I pulled my navi fuse to reset it, and then installed the 8.1 Navi disc. Voice recognition stopped working. Whenever I push the button the navi cuts off all sound for about 5 seconds, but never prompts me to say anything. Then it beeps and turns the sound back on. It does this regardless fo whether or not I try to give it a command.

Any ideas? I'm thinking about pulling my fuse again and going back to the 7.1 disc, to see if that fixes it.

Try checking the volume for the prompt and guidance voice.

Are you supposed to reset the fuse? I thought it automatically loads when you put the DVD in.

No need to pull the fuse when upgrading to a newer software version. You do have to pull the fuse to load an older version.
