The car in this DIY is mine and as you can see the battery wasn't touched at all during this install.

No need to touch anything in your engine.

But any who, I tried to install it tonight, and i couldn't tap into the wires. I had a friend come and see if i'm doing it correctly, and he almost cut the wire in half. Will that cause a problem? I tried all the green and red medium sized wires. No luck..Do i need to ground it to something else?

Look at the #30 photo that is on the first page. The photo shows of where the wires are being grounded. Let us know how it goes.

PM me I was the first to do this on the 2IS My car my time I cant believe how much this has blown up from then Joe and I started a craze and a money making mod for a few vendors on here

I would like to see pics and more info on where you got yours from. I was going to contact the supplier overseas I got m 2IS ones from and order them up. I have a 3gen GS now so I am going to do this all over again and I will help you out.

very important with these to make sure you have a good ground When I first did the wire up of these with the tech at the dealer we had to try several points before they worked. Dont use the (-) wire for the turn signals as its to weak. If you cut through the wire then go get a connector from radio shack (open ended both sides) and crimp the wire so nothing happens. this will also allow it to fit in there nicely with no issues. Check the ground first if its not that then you are for sure tapped into the wrong wires.

What exactly do you mean by "don't use the (-) wire for the turn signal as is too week"?
