Damn! I was wondering about that feature on my car and I didn't think I had it. I have both luxury and sport package. I had no idea that the mirror control had to be on either left or right side for it to work I'm gonna have to go and try it out during my lunch hour and see if it works. Thanks Mister T!
You can't have both Luxury and Sport package.

The mirrors only tilt down if your car has Luxury or Sport package.

If you have luxury package, have you tried putting the mirror switch to either the left or right? Don't leave that switch in the middle.
Did someone say that the mirrors tilt down so you can see the rear tires? My Bimmer used to do that but I have never seen it on my Lexus. The mirrors tilt but only a slight amount, any way I need to get them replaced since they never go back to the original position after being put in reverse.
I am going to see if they would be willing to install the after market led covers since they will be replacing the mirrors any way, for a price.
