I know your gonna be **** when I brought up this topic.A V6 vs I4.. I know IS is a rear wheel drive and luxury car and alot more expensive... But I think honda civic Si is faster then IS250 MT.. Correct me if Im wrong. My friend has an 07 civic si sedan I drove it once it feel pretty nice and quick Im not say it fast but In the long run obove 100mph the IS might handle it down....
The civic Si now I think your can add leather seat too. It has Digital Odometer and helical Limited Slip Differential,sport tuned suspension(standard option),short gear shifter. Redlight is 8300 rpm. Anyway what do you guy think.... Anyone in here test drive the new Civic SI...Just a different topic to talk about.I dont mean anything I own a IS250 too. Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I hate the split instrumentation, digital SPEEDOMETER, on this generation Civic and the front end isn't particularly attractive. Honda builds good cars, although I'd rather have one built in Japan rather than Canada. It is a nice car, especially, considering it is a performance model cribbed from the econo-car parts bin. Happy Halloween, as well.

its fast faster then the 250? nope i dont think so the non si is 150 hp (around so less) the si is close to 200 .....

Those civic isnt a joke. The K series are very sensitive to mods. Those things are quick for the price and FWD. I wouldn't mind driving one for a beater. IMO..the civic si will slaughter the 250. No offense. But the 250 isn't built for speed. It's just a all show no go car.

Gus- you don't even have a SI. Those thing will seriously smoke a 250. They are a 14 second car.

stock they arent so fast compared to modded of course i had si 3rd gear had too many issues (pop s out etc etc) got rid of it went for Show insted of speed had this ex labo'd etc.... im sure it wont beat a 250 and yeah for the price they are fast and nice

you have an ex not si....a si kit don't make your car a si. I'm pretty sure a si would take the 250, but not the lower model

in a quarter mile or around the track, the is250 MT will be hard-pressed to keep up w/ the civic si. it's just too heavy of a car.

on the other hand, the is250 MT might be able to pull away at higher triple-digit speeds, since the civic si will not have enough torque to keep up.

btw, lambo doors on a civic?...

the civic has the limiter (rev / mph) so yeah 3 digits and lambos well got them for x mas so cant complaint.... i was told it was clean (overall) si is very light comparded to 250 i didnt take that into consideriation (250/350s are heavier?)

umm... apples n oranges my friend... if you wanna compare a IS250 to honda then look at a TSX rather than a Si... then compare the Si to the TSX if that helps.

who differnt ball park, the civic isnt even in the lexus class. luxury vs rice. u want to compare similar cars like llama said. c300 vs is250 vs tsx.
civic vs rsx vs mazda 3 etc

even if its faster what exactally are you trying to prove ? or find out? just look at stats and specs . compare those you should get the answer your looking for.

The K series actually have high end because of the high revving engine. So, I am sure the SI will take the is250 high end and low end. Those cars ain't a joke. Simple bolts on and ECU gives it a 50 WHP/40 torque gain.

I actually really like the SI/RSX-S. Was planning to buy a brand new one before buying my is350. Seems like a good beater/daily drive.

I've race the new SI's both on a stop and Roll,
both times took it, even on a roll I left it behind.

They're worthy opponents but, a stock IS250 RWD can take a stock SI.
