what is the safest way to change the wheel?
hi, today i was trying to change my wheel by my own, and end up with breaking 2 wheels studs....and it cost alot to fix it. sigh...so what is the safest way to change the wheel? i don't wanna break it again...
and also i have the ING body lip all around, and the OEM jack is not fit..(the jack will push the body before push up the car) so you guys with those body lip, which jack are you guys using?..any suggest?

um... try not to torque your wheel so hard next time man.
If you are too low, try using a ramp. I can still fit my stock jack under my lowered awd so I dont know why you cant? If you have 1" clearance you can fit it in dude, its called tilting it/lying it down sideways/ or reach in behind the wheel bypassing the body kit.

Sounds like over torquing the nuts to me. Whoever you have had remove the wheels (for whatever reason) most likely over torqued the nuts.
I would check them (hopefully you have a torque wrench) before you put too many miles on 'em again.

Um... try putting the Jack deeper towards the middle of the car.. there is a lot of metal space for jacking it up. Do it so that only a little of the jack sticks out from the side that way it wont hit your side skirt.

If you are breaking these things while trying to remove them, it means the last person to tighten them up put them on too tight. Most of the time that happens at dealership/service places that use an impact wrench and end up over torquing the lugs. If that last person to take off/put back on your wheels was you then... perhaps you don't know your own strength?

if your car is too low, get some wood planks and drive over them...that should give you some height
200 bux to fix ONE wheel stud that i broke a long time ago...lesson learned i guess, get a friend who knows how to do this, because this is an expensive hobby if you don't know what you are doing

Just want to make sure you are turning the lugnuts
the right direction to loosen them. I have never had a lugnut so tight that it broke the studs off trying to take them off.
You need to be turning the lugnut to the left to loosen it. Is this what you are doing?
Have you tried to put some spray penetrating oil on the nuts where they meet the wheel ? The torque value of these on the IS is pretty low, 76 ft lb.
