Waiting for Boxes..
i had been biting my nails all morning waiting for a couple boxes from tirerack to come in -- expecting a ring on the doorbell from the UPS guy, i just sat around doing nothing...
then i went to go out and get the mail, walked out the garage down the driveway, minding my own business, got the mail...and on the walk back up i noticed a black tower....
i cant wait to get these on!
they are enkei rpf1's with michelin pilot sport sp2's

the first pic was of me dancing when i was about to open them and my brother snapped a quick shot...

yeah i got the sensors from tire rack, i think they came with the wheel as part of the order since you specify the car,
also got centering rings, lugs, and a lug adapter - center caps on the way also...
the ps2's are a bit more expensive, but they are apparently supposed to be some of the best rubber you can buy, and although they are asymmetric they are nondirectional, so even with the staggered setup i can rotate a little...
now i just gotta wait for a TPMS appointment so i can get them registered...ill be sure to do a weight comparison also and post it for those interested....

Haha, to be honest, i really didnt want to get the enkei's at first....i was looking at BBS, OZ, etc etc....but those were all really expensive, and heavier than the enkei's - and now that i have the wheels, they look great in person....give them a chance when they are mounted

Did TireRack give you the codes for each sensor? AFAIK, this is required for TPMS registration. I've seen it done and basically you'll need to input the 7 digit alphanumeric code for each sensor to the scanner. If you don't have the codes then I'm not sure how the registration would go.

haha i used to have a scion tc, and yeah you are right? im really curious to see how they look on the car though

yeah tire rack sent all four ID numbers on stickers attached to the invoice, otherwise i can only help but think that youd have to take the tires off and read the number again - unless they broadcast their id....which i kinda doubt...

it's cheaper for you to have the dealer program these wheels are your secondary TPMS and leaving your original sensors as the primary. It's twice the work if you want it the other way around. Besides you can toggle between them in the menu anyway so it doesn't make any difference.

no once the sensors have been programmed into your ecu your good to go. You can transfer them to whatever wheels you want. That's what alotta ppl to save money on having buy brand new sensors and getting them programmed. Just transfter over your original sensors. But of course you wouldn't be able to use the stock wheels anymore without the values lol.
