Default PAINTED grill surrounds: new product from Sewell???

I was just on Sewell's website, and it appears that they now sell PAINTED grill surrounds for the 2IS.

The way I found it was by looking at the black pearl emblems, and this item was in the "may we suggest" area.

But, here is the link for your viewing pleasure:

Just thought I'd let y'all know, as I know there's a lot of interest in this.

It's something I would do because of the perfect color match, but definitely not for $300.

I had a few bodyshops quote me to do this work a while back, it was around $150. So I'm not quite sure why you'd be willing to pay $300 for a painted version of what we already have. Perhaps they should consider charging less and using our existing grill as a core charge (same thing they are doing with the emblems) That might be a more interesting option.

Actually, it would be perfect if they'd offer a black chrome version of our grill.

I want this too as I'm planning to get the black pearl emblems but at $253 after the discount, it's still a little high. Group buy please.

I love the color match look as well, but my grill was pelted pretty good from rocks after a year, and I would definitely want a flex agent or clear bra on this. $300 is way too much. A body shop can do this for $100.

300 dollars is outrageous. I bought an extra surround off ebay for 70, and painted it myself.

it's ridiculous.

Yes, I agree. I painted mine a few months ago and the rocks chipped the crap out of it... I have to repaint and this time it's getting a clear bra for sure.
