Default Sell or Keep Stock Wheels

Hello everyone,

I need your opinion on whether or not to sell or keep my stock x-sport wheels when I get my aftermarket rims.

I can really use the cash but do I really need back ups?

How much should I be asking for without tires, TPMS, and some curb rash on one of the wheels.

What do you guys think?

unless you autox or something your don't really need a spare set of wheels do you? sell them now. you can always buy them back later for less.

I would sell them unless you are racing...I sold mine when I got the OEM spyder wheels.

I was debating whether to sell or not as well. I decided to keep my old ISP's. My reasons are for peace of mind in case something happens to my rims like I hit a pothole or something and crack them the rim will be gone for a few weeks for repair. Or if I ever get bored with my rims in the future and want them powdercoated or polished I can without downtime. Also when I sell the car I can just sell my rims separate to someone on here, and sell the car itself along with the ISP's. It all depends if you need the money or not and if you have space in your garage to spare to store your old rims.

I would sell them.

If you didn't they'd just sit and collect dust.

Then you would have wished you sold them earlier - for more $$$.

If your not selling your car anytime soon I think its better to sell it. I am considering selling mine when my new wheel comes in.

Might come in handy. You're looking at a guy who has stock rims with no tires and wished that it had tires.

Alot of it could depend on what size aftermarket rims you bought. If you bought 20's, then I'd say keep them so if you bend a rim, you have backup rims ready to go while you wait for the repair (that's what I ended up deciding was the best choice).

If you don't need the money and have a place to store them, keep them.

I'd keep them. I have X wheels too. To see how much they go for thinking something similar to you I watched an auction on eBay. The 4 wheels (no tpms) went for $620 plus $100 shipping http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=220244556842
But those were clean without curb rash.

I have learned when personalizing my previous cars that you should keep your wheels (current set) whenever you replace them. The only thing I can say is: you never know when you're going to need them.

If you have the space and don't NEED the money that you may get for them, keep them.
