Default removal of shark fin

is the shark fin an antenna? if so is it a bad idea if i remove it

is it taped on or screwed on

i think the car would look better/cleaner without it

yes the fin is an antenna, it is taped on but there is also a hole under it for the wiring to go through. personally i would leave it. but if you want to remove it i would be interested in buying it for my 04' is300.

I need to take mine off. Any tips? Can i just pull back the headliner to get access to it? What size nut or type of screw is there?

To clear everything up YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE HEADLINER!!!

It's way more simple. You just need to remove the rear dome light assembly that pops right off. Then you'll have access to the nut. Use a crescent wrench or the SST from Lexus. Or use anything you can fit in there to remove it!
