New wheel sponsor and engine for the Falken IS drift car
Hello all!
Its been a while since ive updated everyone on whats been going on with the Falken/Discount tire Lexus IS350. As you all know we dropped in a V8 this year to eliminate boost lag to make the car over all more competitive. We had a "loaner" engine in the car for the first two rounds but we rolled into New Jersey last weekend with the Competition V8 engine (700 hp Kinsler carbon fiber ITB's). We also picked up a new wheel sponsor Iforged who helped us out with custom Aero wheels 18x9.5 front 18x10.5 rear. Which allows us to run 315/30-18 Azenis RT615's in the rear! Enjoy the pics and excuse the offsett in the back we were still playing with spacers.

i saw it in person and it looks nice. I knew they were iForged as soon as I saw them logos lol but the question is, how long will they hold up?
The CF ITB's are nice and I bet the time to properly tune them were a PITA. What's the toque and hp numbers on the rpm stand?
Also, wouldn't you be gettin a bit more power if the filters were a bit further from the ITB's? like a properly designed cold air box and piping with the filter element at the cold air source?
Otherwise sweeeeeeeet effing car man. hope to see you guys make top 16 in vegas
OoOoO and the Falken girls. mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmm Toasty

^^^ yea i've read that if you put the filters on too close like that on the ITB's, they cause turbulence or w/e and each cylinder won't get the right mixture. this is all off the top of my head so it's all a bit fuzzy. I'll read the tech article again when i get home
