Making your IS more Manly
Hello Everyone, first time poster here.
I know a lot of people think the IS (atleast the 250) is a woman's car. I tend to disagree, however I do understand where they are coming from as I see more women driving these cars than men.
That being said, what is everyone's advice on making your IS that much more manly?
I don't have much money to spend, but I figured a few little upgrades like tint, and new headlights might do the trick. I have a silver stock IS 250 and would love to hear everyone's opinions on making the car look a little sexier for not too much money.

(no offense intended with this comment) The best and least expensive improvement is going to be an improvement to the driver's attitude. If you really care that some people think its a woman's car, nothing you ever do to it is going to 100% change that perception of it for you. It's your car and you bought it for your own (good) reasons you DO care about...
A secondary suggestion is that you could grow a big bushy beard and wear a manly flannel shirt or wife beater, maybe a trucker hat tilted sideways when you drive around. That would help start a contrary PR campaign in your area.

I am a little unsatisfied with the Silver color of my car because it was the last of the IS available at the time, and I wanted the car right then. I like the Silver, but I feel that Black would have been a color better suited for how I wanted people to view my car.
Now the reason I am here is because I am looking for ways to make my car look a little "meaner" without spending too much money or adding too many mods (it is a lease).
The ideas I came up with so far was tint and some nice yellow fogs.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I appreciate everyone's input.

I seriously would not worry about what other people perceive. There are a zillion nice cars out there that appeal to women, and that doesn't make them worse cars. Drive what you like. I did the IS for it's styling, price, techno features, good fuel economy, and exterior color.

If you want to change the way your car looks, 50% of that is the wheels.... consider getting something like the F-Sport or some other wheel (then sell them when you return the car from lease).
- Tint is good (see the FAQ at top of this forum for link to master tint thread)
- Aerotect redouts or similar
- If you really like black, I'd look into what some members have done getting a black vinyl cover applied to their roof... relatively inexpensive, removable and a big visual change.
