Default How long will battery last watching a movie?

So I was stuck at a construction stop where the highway was closed for 30 mins. So me and the wife decided to watch a movie on the ML system. We watched for about 15 mins and then I was getting worried about the battery running out since the car was off. So my question is, does anyone have any idea of approximately how long you can safely watch a movie with the engine NOT running and not have to worry about killing the battery?

car is relatively new and battery should be fine, watching a movie doesn't not suck as much power as bumping a 2000 watt amp and such. you'll be fine.

Don't worry, if the car feels like the battery is running short, it will turn it self off. I was detailing it off with the radio on and about 3 hours later, the car turned off to save power thinking no one would possibly listen to the radio for so long without running the car lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think somewhere in the manual it said to try to keep the screen off when running just on the battery.

It may and not a bad idea if you are just listening to music no reason to have the navi or anything display if you are not using it.

Based on the replies I guess 30 - 60 mins 'should' be safe.

They should include a battery power indicator

the car will shut itself off after 1 hour of radio listening, provided you don't turn the station.
