Question Does the ISx50 burn oil?

BMW's I6 (both turbo and non-turbo) is known for burning a bit of oil in between oil changes. Lately, according to Edmunds IL that their long term CTS is burning quiet a bit oil (1.3 qrts) as well. So I am just wondering, has anyone noticed that his/her IS has a tendency of burning oil? If so, how much?

I've got over 30k on my car, and I've never had to add any oil between changes.

I'm about to do my 5k service and the oil level is the same as it was when I first bought it.

All cars use some oil. I'm just over 30K miles now on my IS350, and it probably used about half a quart over the last 6K miles. I'm using Mobil 1 (synthetic) which I've read will be consumed at about twice the rate of conventional oil.

Hmm... Can folks who use synthetic confirm this? I am about to switch to full synthetic for my car this week during the 30k-mile tune up.

I run Mobil 1 5w-20 on 10k mile changes. I've never had to add oil, but I do change the filter every 5k and top off. I have over 50k on mine now.

BTW, anyone else think it's weird that Mobil 1 (and all the other engine oils) have not changed pricing in the last year?
