Went to go buy my IS350 today!!!.......more
Hey guys. I went to my local lexus dealer today with the intention of buying the IS350, and instead i'm the proud new owner of a GS350. lol I test drove both and they are both amazing cars. The IS350 is a very fun car and you can definitely feel that power as you step on the gas. The GS350 is no slouch, but definitely not as fun as the IS350. I did however like the looks of the GS better and also all that extra interior room. Got a great deal on the GS so I couldn't pass it up.
I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the helpful info and help that I got. Maybe one day i'll be an owner of an IS.

GS is nice enough. My coworker just got an 08 Starfire Pearl GS. I was surprise to see the trunk space wasnt any bigger then the IS seeing how bulgy it is. I guess GS's also have the brake dust problem. My coworker started to complain about the brake dust being all over his wheels and the side of his car. Starfire is realy bright white and I am sure he could see every spec of it. I told him about the brake dust TSB, but I wasnt sure GS was covered. The GS stock wheels are not of my taste. GS is nice, but if it wasnt for IS350, I probably would not have gone with Lexus.

Nice choice. I'd do a GS if I could afford it. Enjoy and keep it clean!

Thanks guys for all of your positive responses. I ended up paying only 42k for my 08 GS350. I do agree though that I was very surprised that the trunk was about the same size as the IS350. I also have to say that the handling on the IS is much tighter then the GS as well. But at only about 2K-3K more then the IS350, I said what the heck.
I did consider the newer models that will be coming down the road, but that will be for any car you decide to buy. There's always gonna be something new down the road. The only thing that I didn't get on the GS that would've had on the IS350 is the NAV. The GS does have a touch screen display and bluetooth, but just no NAV. I gave that some serious thought and came to the conclusion that I would RARELY ever use NAV since I've lived here for 15 years and know this city like the back of my hand. I would never take the car out of town since I prefer to fly so it was no biggie.
