Default My wheels got messed up -- how much to fix them?

I was being stupid today and I decided to enter a highway incline at 60mph.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...2&ie=UTF8&z=17

My car started to lose control, VSC kicked in and it let me complete the corner and continue on to the highway. For a moment I thought I was going to flip over or skid straight off the incline. Thanks to VSC I didn't, but the wheels on the driver's side rubbed against the curb and they're messed up now. Basically the edge of the rims are all scratched. And I guess rocks flew against my car and chipped some paint. Thank god the curb was low otherwise my doors would've been completely messed up too. In any case, how much am I looking at fixing the rims and the minor paint jobs?

Anyone recommendations for a good body shop in the bay area?

You shouldnt be driving Stupid at all (in a Lexus no less), look where it got you. (sorry I had to scold you first before I show sympathy lol).

Secondly, sorry to hear what happened, good luck with the fix.

your looking at around $500.. so u can decide if you really like your oem rims and fix them.... or put the $500 and some extra and get some aftermarket rims of your choice.

whoa $500 to fix scratched rims?? I dont know where you're getting yours fixed O.O
Rechroming a rim doesnt even cost more than $300 for the highest quality (1 wheel).

Are they stock? If they are, suck it up and save up for some nicer rims.

better off buying a set from the classifieds or ebay...they are going for around $500-$600 with no tires.
