"Driver's Door" Rattle Fixed!

I know it's not recommended to do this, but it just placed my all weather mats on top of carpeted mats (yes I know I am gonna end up with dents in my carpet mats). So therefore, my all weather mats are in the clips far enough to stay in place, but not far enough to be a pain to pull out.

^^ we do that in my wife's tsx.. it stays well under the pedals and actually can still be clipped.
anyway, that's and interesting fix.. could've sworn the sound came from farther out than under the seat.

I have a neighbor who did this and it caught her accelerator pedal in her IS250 and she hit 100 mph in no time on the highway panicking she had her foot on the brakes the whole time and then through it in park at 20mph because she had not choice. Luckily, there was a cop behind her and helped her out. Lexus strongly advises against this for safety issues. It states this on top of the mats Erin (LOL). Play it safe!! Remember, it is all fun and games until someone looses an eye.

Yikes! Oh wait...I think I do recall seeing that warning on top of the mats. LOL. Not to worry...I removed my carpet mat from my driver's side before putting in the all weather, but I left the others carpets mats in (passenger and back seat). My carpet mat for the driver's side had a piece of gum to stuck/smushed to it, so I got rid of it before the all weathers came.

But if it wasn't for the gum (and my lack of time to clean it off), my driver's side carpet mat would probably be sitting right under my all weather mat, so I am glad you told me what happened to your neighbor.

Simple fix--it turns out to be nothing with the door, just sounds like it. The noise is caused by the floor mat retaining hook rattling against the plastic grommet in the floor mat where the hook connects. I just moved the mat a bit and the noise went away.
Whew! No open surgery on my door.
