Default Parking Assist Volume Adjustment

Is there any way to adjust the volume of the parking assist buzzer without taking the car in to the dealer? (non-NAV)

I did a search and found nothing.

I was successful in programming my SmartAccess to unlock all the doors when touching the door handle or using the remote!

Not that I know of. I don't even think the dealer can change the volume.

I have Navi but I will play with it tomorrow. I thought you can adjust the sensitivity and the volume from what I can remember?? There should be no difference on changing this setting if you have navi or non-navi.

With non-nav, there's no "interface" to play with except for the < o > buttons, which only allows you to turn it off. I've never seen the option to change the volume in that interface.

You can adjust the range (distance) of the sensor.

I wonder if there is an adjustment in the hidden service menu like the bluetooth adjustment?

Thats a good idea! There must be a way to turn it down or up for that matter. I know you can change the sensitivty on it. Do you recall how to get into that?? I was in there once some time ago and forget what I did. I will try it out

Hold the "Info" button depressed while simultaneously switching the light stalk from "Off" to "Parking lights" rapidly. After about five repetitions, the diagnostic menu should come up. I don't recall an adjustment for the parking sensor volume in there, but it has been a while since I've perused those menus.

I got to it a different way IIRC. I think I held the info button and pressed repeatedly the top then bottom of the screen....of course, with no nav screen, that would be difficult......

Where does the menu show up in your example Bichon?

With my original MY '06 disc, I used to get into it with: Menu, Volume, top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left. That way stopped working when I got my disc replaced under TSIB EL013-006; I recently upgraded to the latest 7.1 disc, and that sequence doesn't work with that software either.

Using the parking stalk method, it shows up on the nav screen, just as it did with the older method.

oh, I thought that you meant it would show up on the odo display area because the OP said non-NAV.

okay...Yes you can adjust the volume. Can some one with out Navi post how you change this!!

Here is the process for those with NAVI...
If you have NAVI-
Press INFO button.
Next press the Park Assist button on Navi Screen
Next screen allows you to set the sensitivity and the volume.

I honestly wouldn't know where to start. The only INFO button we have is the same one that everyone has, which is the button on the steering wheel for the dash display.

The only interface that we have for park assist is the < o > buttons on the side of the dash. And, the only option it seems to give is the on/off capability, and I think hitting the info button on the steering wheel in this screen just cancels out the < o > display.

Maybe one of the Lexus Tech's on the forum can help us out.
