I too have the SGM paint, and I don't think it would be worth the time and $$ to paint or vinyl your roof black. As our paint is so dark, the black would not stand out at all. And if the paint job wasn't done to a very high quality standard, you could end up with your roof looking worse than than it did before you started. With vinyl, same issue could apply. I say save your money for something more noticable like rims, or coilovers.

i have SGM aswell and i was seriously considering this... untill i looked at the ES in a simalar color (comes with a black roof) and it was barely noticeable. The most noticable option would be a flat black roof, but it would most likely ruin the car. black rims, headlights, and tails give i nice contrast to the SGM paint... but i think people wont be able to really notice it because its the roof.

I rmb seeing a thread with pics of three IS, one of them is SGM with black roof. It actually looks really good.
