Thanks for all the feedback and help...definitely good to try something different.
That is hot! Congratulations and I hope it is reliable for you because it sure is pretty.

Great choice and they are very reliable! My 05.5 S4 was never in the shop except for my so called FREE oil changes!! I believe they got rid of that but the car was a blast to drive! I sure do miss the manual trans also!

Write back after you have had sometime to play around with it. I need to go test drive one of these. Did you drive the S5 to compare??

Actualy I here they will only ship 2k or so to the states

That was probably one of the biggest deciding factors. I loved my '07 IS350, but I did get tired of seeing them all over the place. Well, not to many IS350's, but IS250's every time I opened my eyes

I am once again considering the IS 350 as I really loved this car, but I'm also thinking about taking a step up and maybe getting into the new Audi A5. What do you guys this about this car and advantages / disadvantages between the two (aside from price, obviously).

My Lexus dealer is offering me a great deal if I decide to buy another Lexus and I happen to know the dealer owner for the local Audi dealer (so no inflated markup on the HOT A5/S5 and as short of a wait as possible).

Darn decisions...this is the part I hate

I'd take the Audi. It's sportier, sexier, a newer design, and more exclusive. Give it a few more months and the prices will calm down. And I don't know why everyone keeps thinking reliability is bad. Check any Consumer Reports for the last five years and Audi is above all the other German manufacturers and ranking high.

Great choice! I love the look of the A5. LED DRLs look mean. I would have done the same thing if I were in your position. IMO, getting the IS350 again would have been boring. Same old stuff.

Don't get the Audi A5

I'm just getting rid of mine and getting the IS

The 2.0T engine is rubbish
It uses 7.5L of oil between every services

I owned a 2010 A5 from new and owned it for 11 months
It spent 5 months off the road

My advice is stay with Lexus

This would have been a very pertinent post......3 years ago, before he actually bought the A5.

I was about to get the A5 because it's sexy as hell! It's more of a gentleman's car and if your not looking for speed go for it! Used is around 25K so not too bad and with the new Audi it's cheaper. The thing is to get a white or black because those color stand out (WHITE).

I choose an ISF instead because of the rareness and an ISF looks a lot nicer in person and turns more heads than an A5 especially in San Diego! I had like 5 comments in 1 week of driving! Only reason I didn't choose the Audi A5 was reliability!
